Bridesmaids Accessories

Note: I'm a novice to Blogger (which is an improvement over Snipi), so please forgive any strange formatting.

Since Anna posted some lovely dress ideas I thought I'd add a few accessories.
Another friend getting married turned me on to this Etsy dealer: whiteowl.etsy.com She makes lovely lace jewelry which could go well with a simple, elegant dress. I especially love her "Marichelle" necklace:

The dress I may wear is a bit busy for me to be able to pull of an elaborate necklace, so I thought that a pair of earrings would be better. I've always loved grey and black pearls.

I'm hoping for cool weather. You too Amber? What are your opinions on shrugs, wraps, or boleros? Etsy has a ton of wraps and boleros, but a lot of them may be too fancy for a bridesmaid. They can also be pretty pricey as well. Here are some of the simpler, cheaper options. Please, feel free to add more. None of these are exactly what I have in mind and you guys might have something completely faboo!

I like the high-collar look, but I'm certainly open to suggestions and opinions!

MUAH!

Bridesmaid & Flower Girl Dresses

Firstly, I want to thank Amber for changing the date on the header of this website to "2010" instead of "2009". I called her in a panic with my finger on the "Purchase" button at cheaptickets.com
In any case, I thought I'd post some relatively simple, yet elegant dresses for the Bridal Party (i.e. my favorite party). I realize that these dresses themselves might be out of our respective price ranges, but they are a good "jumping off point" so to speak. Most of these dresses come in about a dozen colors, although we're probably going for color first, then whichever silhouette flatters the bridesmaid best.

First is the silk pleated galette dress ($365 at JCrew Wedding). a little 20s, a little 40s, in a subtle and innocuous color.

detail shot. beautiful!

Up next is a classic LBD with a little flair, but could work for many themes, flattering for myriad shapes & sizes ($180 at BR Monogram Collection).

Next up is probably the best as far as color availability, range of fit, price, and the "being able to wear it again" factor. it's a silk chiffon strapless with slight pleating detail ($180 at JCrew Wedding).

And last, but not least, I couldn't resist this Art Deco-style Flower Girl dress ($88 at JCrew Wedding). Would that I could shrink myself down to this size, Amber, I would wear this & scatter petals down the isle!
